Many clients have contacted me regarding connection issues with their BT Broadband.
Early Jan 2017 BT have suffered what appears to be severe issues with their DNS Servers. What these DNS machines do is ‘find’ the location of the computer that is running a website or email account you are trying to reach from your Device. Since the BT DNS Machine is not working you get a connection error ‘page not found’ / ‘problem connecting’ etc etc.
The problem has occurred in the evenings. If you get a connection then Google ‘How to change my DNS Settings’ and change from default to 8.8.8.8 will help.
